I, Mike Lehman, would like to thank all of the loyal customers for 23 years of business at Bay Breeze Golf. It has been a great adventure for my family, employees, and me. I will miss seeing you all at the course.
Every winter the course closes and when spring comes around our crew works hard to re-open as soon as the weather permits. I felt, as the golf and putting courses closed for the winter, that this was a great time to sell Bay Breeze Golf. At this point, I am not sure what the Tillamook Cheese Factory will do with the property. However, I am sure that the property will make for another nice addition to one of the best tourist attractions in the state.
In 1993, Bay Breeze Golf opened with only a driving range. In the following year, we added a nine-hole par three golf course. Kiwanis and I started the annual junior golf camp the same year, which helped over two decades of children get involved in the game. Long time costumers will remember the early layout and with their business we were allowed to expand in 2005, turning the par three into an executive course. The new par thirty course added longer par threes and a few par fours, and despite a few changes, remained that way for twelve years. In 2006, we designed and opened the putting course, which got a variety of customers to try at least one aspect of golf.
Again, I would like to thank all the customers throughout the years that have supported Bay Breeze Golf and helped make this adventure possible.
